A brain-computer interface that turns emotional states into colorful light, worn as a mask. Built on the original Strange Loops — for which Ninon was named among Dezeen's top wearable designers — and inspired by attractor patterns in mathematics.
Build log
Strange Loops is a brain-computer interface that turns emotional states into colorful lights. At the 2024 Augmentation Residency, Ninon complemented her existing Strange Loops mask, for which she was named among the Top 100 Inventors in her home country France, with a dress.
Strange Loops II is inspired by the attractor pattern in mathematics.
Ninon recently won the O'Shaughnessy Fellowship for her work on Strange Loops and her other work on brain-computer interfaces.
